Drumragh Integrated College has again seen many delighted smiles and warm congratulations during its A-level Results Day. The Drumragh family is intensely proud of its students and their amazing achievements. Many have successfully gained entry to their university courses and future pathways. This is a rewarding next step for each of them and they thoroughly deserve their success.  The college congratulates them for their exam results, their talents, their values and their months of hard work. Drumragh also thanks those who are leaving for all they have given to the college community during their years of study there – it’s been a privilege to teach and work with them.

Support When You Need It

I hope that every member of the Drumragh community will have a happy, refreshing and fruitful summer. Following the challenges we have faced together this year however, I want to outline for you some of the ways in which you can find help and support if you need it:

·         For those who have been receiving counselling support within the school, I am pleased to let you know that this valuable service will continue for you on two Thursdays, 5th and 19th July, from 10.00am until 12 noon. Please contact the school office to make an appointment, by 4.00pm on the Wednesday before each of these dates.

·         If your child is hurting and you are concerned, please be aware that your first call is normally to your GP or the Out-of-Hours GP service.

·         We would like every child and parent or carer within the school community to have these numbers on their phones and to feel free to use them at any time:

o   Lifeline                        0808 808 8000            (

o   Childline                      0800 1111                   (

o   NSPCC                         0808 800 5000            (

o   Parents’ Helpline        0808 8010 722            (

Always know that you are not alone, and you are precious to us. Help is always there if you need it.

The winner of our Mathematics department Pi Competition 2018 is Eva Judge who recited 114 decimal places! Read them aloud to get a grasp of how amazing this is:

2nd Kamil Michalski with 85 decimal places.

3rd Robbie Mc Clean with 56 decimal places.

4th Dean Grimes with 48 decimal places.

The school record holder is still Paula Mc Elroy with 116!

Congratulations to Eva and all our participants this year, photographs of the top four to follow.

What a fantastic day! Recently the school took part in a sponsored walk in Cookstown in support of Action MS. RE teacher Mrs Joan Wilson offered to organise the event! Alongside Mrs Wilson our year 8 & 9 pupils and form teachers worked there butts off and managed to raise an amazing £3513.35!! STUPENDOUS! A huge thanks to all the staff who helped out during this fundraising and the walk itself and of course all the students for fundraising. Those who raised over £100 individually are now looking forward to a luncheon in Belfast. Lucky ducks! The cheque was presented today in the glorious sunshine with Ann Walker, Chief Executive Action MS.

Today we held an amazing celebration of the Shared Education Partnership between St Dympna’s PS and ourselves, with incredible performances and entertainment provided by students of both schools. Further information on the Shared Education Partnership added below.

Congratulations to Makenna Chadwick who finished 8th overall in the 2018 European Bowhunter Championships - this is an incredible achievement, up against the best archers in Europe and we are all very proud here at Drumagh, well done!! :) Adrian has provided us with an excellent update on her final day:

"So yesterday was the final competitive shooting day at the European Bowhunter championships, EBHC 2018, and there's been some blood, lots of sweat, some tears, the hot, clear blue skies to wind, rain and some snow,. Every course tested personal stamina, in distance and terrain, most days taking on 3 to 5 litres of water, and then, on top of all that, there was the archery.
Makenna had a good final day on top of mt. fichtelberg managing to claw points back on her opponents, I think the Irish type weather helped, holding her in eight position...well done Makenna, we are all very proud of this achievement. She now has a week to rest before the Northern Ireland junior championships, hosted by Larne archery club, then in two weeks the UK and Ireland field and hunter championships in Inverness....UKIFAC 2018...."

Our recent ACTION MS WALK raised £3513.35, this is absolutely incredible - many thanks to everyone involved.
