FAO Attention of Parents & Students attending Iceland Trip

FAO Attention of parents of pupils attending the Iceland trip

Tracking our trip

Using the link below you will be able to track our locations in Iceland on each day. The GPS should be active the day before travel

Please see below your link for the

SnapMap.   https://locatemytrip.uk/map/interval/login/FE700258

Currency

Make sure you have your Icelandic kroner ready.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE FOR CONTACTING PARENTS

In the event of an emergency the Trip Leader will contact the parent or guardian. Parents should ensure that they have provided the college with the name and telephone number of a relative/family friend who will act in locum parentis should we be unable to contact the parent or guardian (see appendix A). If you have not completed this form please return to the general office for the attention of Mr Martin Toner by Thursday 12th October 2017.

DOCUMENTS

All the leaders will hold all the necessary documentation for the College trip. As communicated in an earlier circular, students’ parents are responsible for ensuring that their child has all necessary documentation well in advance of the trip i.e. valid passports and European Health Insurance Card.

Staff will take a photocopy of each student’s passport as in the event of passports being lost or stolen it is much easier to get one reissued with a photocopy of the original.

PASSPORTS

Please bring in passports before Monday 16th October 2017 to school. Each passport will be placed in a leaders pack to which your child has been assigned. Each passport must be handed in to Mr Toner and a sheet signed to say it has been received. I would like to have all the passports in one area thus reducing the chance of pupils accidentally forgetting their passports on the morning of the trip.

Leaving time

Please arrive at the school between 5.10am and 5.30am on the morning of Wednesday 18th October 2017. Please arrive on time so we can get all luggage on board and check passports and register everyone.
